Greatest Product for Candida Oct 07, 2005
By Judie C. Rall
"spiritjoy"
I've taken this product for some time and I can tell you it definitely works. Even with the first dose, I could feel the difference. It immediately improved the PH of my intestinal tract, I stopped having trouble with diahrrea and loose stools. I've been taking it for several months, and I can tell you it has helped me. As for the reviewer above who stated they had been taking it for three weeks and still had Candida, OF COURSE YOU DO. It takes several months to fully get a good case of candida under control. The literature that comes with the product explains this. The product is pleasant tasting and easy to take. It also suggests that you take a fiber supplement to help cleanse the colon of the dead and dying candida organisms. This is very helpful and I recommend it.

Update after 3 years(Feb 15, 2011) It has literally changed my life -- no joke! Dec 27, 2007
By Me and My Boys I've been taking Threelac for one month now at 2 pack per day. I had recently been diagonosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. The pain and fatigue was so severe, that I could not function normally, (and I have young kids at home)and 85% of each day was spent in the bed (By the way, I'm only 31) I would do what was necessary for my kids and the rest of the days I spent in the bed. I wasn't satisfied with the diagnoses of fibromyalgia or CFS, so I started HUNTING down research on what's really wrong with me. That's when I discovered it was candida and miserably failed the saliva test plus all the online assessments. I realized my candida got out of control because I had been on at least 9 courses of antibiotics for recurrent upper respitory infection and ear infection over an 18 month period plus had major surgery where they pumped me full of antibiotics as a precautionary measure. After one week on Threelac, I no longer had days where I spent in the bed. Now, one month later, I am feeling so great, my energy is up, no more pain. I'm even getting ready to start my own business that I had been delayig because I just couldn't function. One supplier mentioned that you will plateau in your symptom relief. I feel I have reached my plateau point so I will increase my dosage to 3 pack per day for one more month then go down to the one pack per day. To replace the friendly bacteria, I'm also taking Pearl Acidophilus by Enzymatic Therapy. (Which by way contains the 2 strains of bacteria that was added to make Fivelac.)
UPDATE FEB 15, 2011 -- I felt it was important to give an update on my condition since this original review. For that first year, I took the Threelac daily, and progressively I got better and bettter and better. Hallelujah, it felt like life again! I also learned to pay attention to how my body reacts to what I eat. I found that anything high in sugar, be it all natural fruit juice or donuts all made my candida worse and made my symptons return -- foggy thinking, pain in my joints, unbearable tiredness, etc. Which makes sense as I also learned that sugar is the food of candida. During year 2, I was able to go down to maintenance doses, so I probably used about 2 or 3 boxes total that year. By year 3, I wasn't taking Threelac at all. And now here it is past the three year mark and I'm ordering one box of THreelac because I have REALLY been overdoing it on the sugar and junk for the last six months, and it's finally caught up with me. So I'll be taking about 2 packs a day until I feel back to 100%.
I just want to say to any who have tried it and it didn't work for you is that maybe something else will, and I hope you find your solution because this candida crap is no joke. It's literally debilitating. And for all those who are finding success with it, I'm am thrilled for you beccause I know how it feels to finally find something that works.

Works well, but may need to change your diet slightly Jan 28, 2006

I read the other reviews and had to put in my own two cents. This product worked well for me, and I have taken it for about 6 months. A lot of the sites that I read about the product said that you don't have to change your diet at all to take it, but I have found that for it to work, you need to eliminate white sugar from your diet. This makes sense because sugar helps the yeast to grow. It works faster if that cultivating element is eliminated from the diet. There are other sites that tout the "candida diet" which is basically eliminating nearly everything, but with this product, it seems that sugar is the only thing that needs to be reduced or eliminated for it to work. I would encourage the person who said that it was a scam to evaluate his diet and take it for a little bit longer, and he will see results from it.

After four months here's what I've seen...... Apr 03, 2007

I've been taking 5 packets a day for most of the four months I've been taking it. I have chronic candida, and have spent so much money on all kinds of probiotics and have finally had some success with this product. Other probiotics have not been as effective as this one. Most of my sympoms are fading but I am not cured. I will probably be on maintenance with this for a long time, since my case is severe. I really struggled with whether to use this product or not because my doctor was unfamiliar with it but I called GHT with about a LOT of questions and they were so gracious to answer (a real human called me; someone who was very knowledgeable and took all the time I needed). When I first took this I had red spots all over for a while but they went away. That was a good sign, they said -- that the toxins were leaving. It's proved to be true, I believe. Another very important Amazon purchase for me: The Yeast Connection Cookbook: A Guide to Good Nutrition and Better Health (Paperback)has been a companion book that's helped me through the landmine field of foods that trigger yeast. It's not been easy (emotionally, to give up the foods I love), but the book is written well and is very detailed. I've not followed it perfectly but pretty closely. I believe that's also been an integral part of my healing. I have to give God the glory, most of all. This has put me on my knees often and He has answered prayer.

Educate yourself first, this really works if it is what you need! Jul 07, 2007

I have read a couple reviews saying that threelac doesn't work as well as other things or doesn't work at all. For the sake of clearing up confusion, please keep in mind that if your body is not dealing with a candida or yeast related problem, then probably other things will work better at helping your symptoms. If threelac is what you need, it will work. My problems with candida were very severe, and even with eating my usual semi-healthy diet, I have seen a great deal of improvement.
The other thing to keep in mind is dosage. One reviewer said he(she?) had been taking one packet a day and seen very little improvement at all. Some people may only need to take one a day, others may need up to 6 over the course of a couple weeks or more for candida to really improve. Your diet will also affect the effectiveness of this treatment. If you eat a large quantity of foods which feed the yeast, it will make the process much slower.
I hope this helps people who are confused by the conflicting reviews. Enjoy!
